What is triple lutz?

Triple Lutz is a figure skating jump that requires a skater to take off from the back outside edge of one foot and rotate three times in the air before landing on the back outside edge of the opposite foot. It is considered one of the most difficult jumps in figure skating and is often included in the required elements for competitive programs. To perform a triple Lutz successfully, a skater needs to have strong jumping technique, good control in the air, and a solid landing position. The jump is named after the Norwegian skater Alois Lutz, who first performed it in competition in the early 20th century.
